The Assistive Technology Services are responsible for the operation of assistive technology services for people with mobility impairments in the southern part of Stockholm County, as well as county-wide responsibility for individuals in need of consumable assistive devices at home, medical technology equipment at home, and communication, cognition, vision, and hearing aids.
Warehouse and transport are part of the Assistive Technology Services within the Stockholm County Healthcare Region (SLSO).
About 30 people work in the Warehouse and Transport unit.
Your main tasks will be to deliver and pick up assistive devices from private individuals and healthcare providers. We employ individuals who want to make a difference for others in our society. We drive light trucks with automatic transmission. The work is carried out independently, and our drivers work with great freedom under responsibility.
Working hours are from 08:00 to 17:00, weekdays. We apply flexible working hours if the work allows. We start from our premises in Fruängen/Älvsjö, the nearest subway station is Fruängen.
The position is a full-time temporary position, starting as soon as possible until August 23, 2026. In your application, we ask that you state your salary expectations.
Qualifications:
Experienced driver with good local knowledge of Stockholm County. It is an advantage if you have worked as a driver in service, such as a courier or truck driver. Minimum driving license class, B.
Experience working closely with patients, for example in home care or personal assistance, is advantageous.
We place great importance on personal qualities such as humility, accuracy, and flexibility. Good patient contact and high attendance are also important.
Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.
Computer literacy.
The position will be filled on the condition that it does not need to be allocated for internal relocation, according to current regulations.
For patient-related work within the Stockholm County Healthcare Region:
- background checks will be applied before hiring decisions according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for background checks during employment.
- employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination, according to current directives, which is conducted through occupational health services before employment.
- in addition to Swedish professional certification, good knowledge of the Swedish language at level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements apply to non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
